About
CAREfully Branded was created by Michelle Pickens (me!), the voice behind CrohnicallyBlonde.com, to combine my love of storytelling and passion for connection within the healthcare industry. I bring 10+ years of professional experience crafting unique value propositions and developing brand driven social media content. I believe in empowering independent providers and practices to tell their brand story and cultivate their community.
What is my point of difference?
I am certified in New Parent Education, recently completed the American Gastro Association’s Patient Influencer Program, and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Towson University.
I have worked in social media content creation for over 9 years and partnered with brands such as AbbVie, Maryland Health Connection, Culturelle, Starbucks, and more.
What is my "why"?
After years of navigating the healthcare industry as a patient and advocate, I noticed a gap in patient/provider connection. There is massive potential for healthcare providers to grow and contribute in the social media world, but in many cases they lack the time or expertise to do so effectively. I have seen the difference social media engagement makes on the patient community first hand and wanted to help grow the impact. I believe that providers building their social media brand encourages transparency in the industry, enables easier provider/patient collaboration, and helps to combat the spread of misinformation.
